Welcome to the home of the not-for-profit SOWER Project.  SOWER is an acronym for "Stewards Of The World Encouraging Restoration."  Our goal is to promote effective stewardship, economic self-sufficiency, and the sustainable use of the earth's resources.

Within our website, you will find information on a number of our services including the following:

Composting - Consultation on large or small-scale compost production and utilization.
Bucket Drip Irrigation - Converts a 20 liter (five gallon) bucket into a drip irrigation system, reducing both water use and labor by up to fifty percent.  This system especially benefits people living in arid regions of the world as well as extending the moisture availability beyond the usual rainy season elsewhere.  (Bucket drip irrigation kits are available through SOWER Project.)
Global Projects - Assisting with advising, education and on-site demonstrations of appropriate agricultural and conservation technologies around the world.
Lindsborg Tree Station - Growing thousands of trees each year utilizing compost generated from community yard waste.  Honored with National Excellence Award as one of the top 25 innovation/problem-solving best practices in the U.S.A.  (United Nations, February 12, 1996)
Resource Networking - Sharing information on how to connect with other related sources.
How to Participate - Partner with our non-profit organization as we work to restore and enhance natural resources.  Our desire is to improve the living conditions of people around the world.
